7 Things about me

Okay. Here goes...

1. I hate things between my toes. I can't wear flip flops because it drives me soooo crazy. Every year I try to buy them and every year I walk away. I want to wear them, but having things between my toes bothers me too much.

2. I am obsessed with books. I buy books, I check out books, I have stacks of books to read.

3. Along the theme of books, the library lets you have 40 books checked out and 40 books on request. Both are always at the limit.

4. Even though I have a masters in teaching reading and writing, I currently don't teach reading. I teach math. I love to read, but I don't want to teach reading.

5. I love pumpkin and always have at least two cans in my pantry. I am always fretting that there might be a pumpkin shortage and I won't be able to get it.

6. I am obsessed with purple and will buy things just because they are purple. That is why I wanted the I-Pod shuffle and not a regular I-Pod. My shuffle is purple the regulars are not.

7. I have seen every episode of Charmed except the one where Prue is killed off. I even bought the season so that I could see it and they don't have it on there:(

Princess of Procrastination!

I should be grading papers, working on the powerpoint for move up day, rewriting the 5th grade handbook, cleaning, folding clothes, or any other number of tasks.

Instead I have ordered books from Amazon to be delivered to school, played wii (and beat the child at bowling), surfed the net, played this brick breaking game (high score of 187, 653) and generally just wasted time.

I did attempt to help child with her homework. She had to diagram sentences. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember how to do what she was doing. Pretty depressing...I'm not smarter than a sixth grader. Though I can whip the fifth graders I teach:)

Spring has sprung at school...

After spending most of the winter on inside recess, my kids are sick of each other. Outside recess was a nightmare yesterday. Repurcussions will happen today.

My boys were monsters. They got into a big tussle at recess and attacked each other. "Just because" they said. Needless to say my principal was thrilled with them.

The girls are being catty too.

Twenty five days to go.

Progress reports go home Thursday.

Grading party at my house. I will supply the green ink, chocolate, and caffeine. You must like grading math papers and social studies essays. And be liberal with the ink...

TGIF!

I am so glad it is Friday. This has been the longest week. Only 6 weeks of school left. I need to start packing my room for the big move. We need to meet with our new partner teacher and get rolling for next year. So much to do...

I think I am heading to bed to read. No stitching this week:( Hopefully tomorrow and Sunday.
