Christmas Day by Prairie Schooler

I am doing a rotation of sorts. I have about 6 projects that I am spending five hours on and then moving on. I forgot to keep time with this one, so I am not sure how many minutes I am into it. It has been an easy stitch (no frogging).

I haven't really been on the computer much. Report cards are due soon and I have a lot of things to get caught up on. I am hoping that once I am done with all of that, everything will calm down more.

Happy Birthday to me:)

Tomorrow I turn another year older. When we are young we wish that time away and when we get old, we want that time back. Yesterday my mom gave me a book mark that had the serenity prayer on it:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change...
the courage to change the things I can...
and the wisdom to know the difference.

It really made me think about all the things I have to be thankful for and to stop thinking about the regrets I have. I really don't want for anything. I have a loving husband and daughter. I am raising her to be self-sufficient and level-headed. I see promise to the adult she is going to become. I have the house of my dreams and a job that I adore (even with upcoming parent teacher conferences). I love my co-workers. They are sooo thoughtful and easy going.

My family is great! Yesterday my mom had a brunch for me. They know how much I am obsessed with cross stitch so they got me two new projects I have been lusting after:)Kaleidoscope by Ink Circles and Peaceful Paradise by Midsummer Night Designs. They even got me the linen for both and the specialty thread required for Peaceful Paradise. Needless to say I have been consumed with starting these projects. I am spending five hours on each project and doing a rotation.

Off to grade so I can stitch later:)
