Thanksgiving...this definitely describes me

You Are Thanksgiving

You are a bit of a homebody who enjoys being in the company of people you love.
It doesn't take a lot to make you happy. You're enjoying life as it is.
You have many blessings in your life, and you are grateful for each one.
You believe that life is about what you *do* have. You feel like you have enough of the good stuff.

What makes you celebrate: Family, friends, and the changing of the seasons.

At holiday get togethers, you do best as: The host of the party

On a holiday, you're the one most likely to: Spend so much energy preparing that it's a full time job

Woman of few words...

Lately, I just have not been saying too much. Not sure what is going on. I don't feel like posting, I don't feel like emailing, I don't feel like doing anything. I am just BLAH...I am just in a funk that I can't get out of...I need some changes...

How ironic?!

You Should Be a Teacher

You are patient, optimistic, and good at explaining things.
You work well with all types of people, and you are a good role model.
Success and positive outcomes are extremely important to you.
You are both a good leader and instructor. People look up to and depend on you.

You do best when you:

- Can see the results of your work
- Are able to teach someone a new skill

You would also be a good nurse or non fiction writer.

Official Weigh in and Peaceful Paradise

This is about three hours of stitching. I have almost got the part of the border done that I had to frog. I am going to work on this piece all week. I should probably order some more specialty floss though. Like I said before, this is a HUGE piece.
Today is the official weigh-in for the biggest loser contest I joined with my husband. In order to win, I need to lose 20 lbs. by January. I know that is not possible, so I am content just to keep losing. Today I officially reached 40 lbs. Since we only count Monday-to-Monday and even though I reached it earlier last week, I had to wait till today to make it official:) I have 25 lbs. to go to my goal. I thought for sure I would be up today after what I ate last night, but I guess my moderation helped. We went to dinner theater last night for my daughter's play. The food was chicken fried steak, roll, salad, baked potato, and gelato. I ate half a roll, split dressing with DH, all the baked potato, and about 3/4 of the chicken fried steak. Though, the fried food did upset my tummy. I don't really eat fried foods very often anymore.

Where I've Been...

I have been so busy with school and home, that I have not really been on the computer that much. I check my favorite cross stitch board, but even then I have not been really posting. I did start a new project - Peaceful Paradise. I ended up frogging the border yesterday. Somehow I got off count and a square too big. So I decided it made more since to frog the border than what I had done on the interior. It is a huge pattern (twelve 8 1/2 by 11 pages). It uses DMC, crescent colors and GAST. I think I am going to need to order more of the specialty threads though. I only have one of each. I am going to post a slideshow later of what I have been working on. Right now I am uploading one for school and still have three others I must do tonight plus I need to email pictures to my partner teacher of her child. He is in the fifth grade this year.
