SNOW!

Once again the glorious white stuff is falling from the sky. The only problem. It is Saturday! They will have all day tomorrow to get it clear so the much prayed for snow day will not happen. The children think they are the only ones praying for it, that is not true. Teachers pray for it more. It would be so great to not have to drag myself out of bed and to school on Monday. I would love a day of sitting in front of the fire and reading a novel or stitchin on a WIP. Alas, I think that dream will not happen again this school year. Bummer...

Monday - chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwiches

Tuesday - fend for yourself (DD has art classs)

Wednesday - panfried shrimp, steamed potatoes, and stir fried peas

Thursday - Crockpot something (still trying to make up my mind)

Friday - Fish Fry at Church.

Day of Pampering;)

Today I am going to get an hour massage and a pedicure. My DH gave it to me for my birthday in October. I can hardly wait. Yesterday I had 19 parent teacher conferences and today I will relax. DD has day two of her singing/dancing workshop. DH and I are going out to eat and then going to her show. This should be a great day.

Here is the picture of us at the Church/School Gala. We had a great time! I like this picture so much better than last year's version. I wish that I had not worn the shawl in this picture though. It is hard to see the beauty of the dress.

SNOW DAY!

Finally the day I have been waiting for since winter began - the first SNOW DAY of the year (and maybe the only one)!

Now DD will sleep in her pajamas inside out every night!

Menu Plan Monday - one day early

Sunday - Chinese Noodles (one of DD's favorites - DH is working)

Monday - Crockpot spaghetti sauce and garlic bread

Tuesday - Hash Brown Sausage Bake and fruit salad

Wednesday - Broccoli and Cauliflower Soup and crescent rolls

Thursday - Fend for yourself; I have conferences all afternoon, DD is at a two day singing/dancing workshop and DH is working

Friday - Date night. Use GC to Texas Roadhouse or Macaroni Grill (DD is still at workshop)

Saturday - clean out the fridge

I am going to make either banana bread or banana cake with the bananas no one ate this week.

Finish

Here is a recent finish. I started it last summer after buying it at my favorite LNS in Kentucky. I really enjoyed stitching it and am so glad I can now get it framed to hang on my wall.

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I ordered the Drawn Thread Sampler Game Board. I also ordered other stash the following week and I got it in the same week. Well today when I came home from school, my new project was waiting for me in the mailbox! I was jumping with joy! I can hardly wait to start another new project! Hopefully I can start it this weekend. It uses DMC floss and I already have the linen!
